India celebrates its Republic Day on the 26th of January and for 12 years, Kavi Sammelan and Mushaira is celebrated here in Dubai in the same tradition as is done at the Lal Qila (Red Fort) in Delhi. This year the event, as is in it's tradition, invites some of the nation's master poets and brings them together for a beautiful show that is broadcast around the world and enjoyed not only by Indians but the rest of the world as well.
